ABOUT
I have a strong interest in the effect that vision has in driving infants with torticollis to spend more and more time with their heads side bent as their development progresses. The idea that infants that tip their heads often do so in order to not see double, is something I am passionate about teaching to other therapists. This is also an issue with any child that is tipping their head. not just babies with torticollis.
I have been using midline eye convergence exercises in the early treatment of infants with torticollis for the past 18 years with amazing results. I work closely with a pediatric optometrist using prism glasses to improve head position and eye strength and coordination in infants with torticollis starting as early as 4 months of age. My work with prism glasses has now expanded far past just my patients with torticollis as 13 of my 15 current patients wear prism glasses.
